The DDR-120C is a 120W DIN Rail type DC-DC converter for railway and industrial applications. With a 33.6~67.2Vdc input range (nominal 48Vdc), it converts from 48Vdc on-board bus supplies to isolated 12V, 24V, or 48V outputs. Compliant with EN50155:2021 S1 level and rated per IEC61373 for shock and vibration, it operates from -40~+70°C in demanding transport environments.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the DDR-120C-24 to power 24V automation equipment from a 48V DC distribution system?
Yes. The DDR-120C-24 accepts 33–67V DC input and delivers 24V at up to 5A (120W). This makes it ideal for converting a 48V facility DC bus to the 24V standard used by most PLCs, sensors, and industrial I/O modules, with 4KVdc isolation protecting sensitive control circuits.
Is the DDR-120C-24 suitable for stepping down 48V telecom power to 24V for auxiliary equipment?
The DDR-120C-24 is well suited for this application. Telecom sites running a -48V bus (or positive 48V) within the 33–67V range can use this converter to power 24V equipment such as alarm panels, environmental monitors, or access systems. The 120W capacity handles most auxiliary loads comfortably.
Can this converter power 24V DIN rail relays and contactors in a solar energy system with a 48V battery bank?
Yes. A 48V battery bank typically varies between roughly 42V and 58V during charge and discharge cycles, which falls within the DDR-120C-24's 33–67V input range. It provides a stable 24V output at up to 5A for relay coils, contactors, and control circuits in the balance-of-system panel.
Does the DDR-120C-24 generate significant heat in a confined DIN rail enclosure?
At full 120W load, the DDR-120C-24 does produce heat proportional to its conversion losses. Its fanless design relies on convection and conduction through the DIN rail and enclosure. In tightly packed cabinets, ensure adequate spacing per the datasheet recommendations and verify ambient temperatures stay within the -40°C to +85°C rating.
Can I use the DDR-120C-24 to power 24V LED machine lighting inside CNC equipment?
The DDR-120C-24 can supply 24V at 5A for LED task lighting or machine vision illumination in CNC machines that have a 48V DC internal bus. Its compact 32 mm width conserves panel space, and the 4KVdc isolation helps prevent electrical noise from the machine's motor drives from reaching the lighting circuit.
