Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the SD-1000H-12 to power a 12V industrial control or automation system from a high-voltage DC bus?
Yes, this converter is built for constant-voltage 12V output from a 72-144V input range. With 720W available and up to 60A output current, it fits higher-power 12V industrial control, automation, and auxiliary DC loads that need substantial current.
Is the SD-1000H-12 a fit for vehicle, rolling stock, or mobile equipment electronics that use a 72-144V source?
It can be a fit where the source voltage falls within the 72-144V input range and the load requires a regulated 12V output. The available 720W and 60A output support heavier 12V electronics than low-power converters.
Can this model support 12V communication, monitoring, or computing loads in an IT or industrial rack?
Yes, the 1U low-profile format and 12V constant-voltage output make it relevant for rack or cabinet-based DC power conversion. Its 720W rating, 60A output, and built-in remote ON/OFF control and remote sense are useful where the 12V load is concentrated in enclosed equipment.
What is the difference between the SD-1000H-12 and the other SD-1000H or SD-1000L versions?
In this output class, SD-1000H-12 and SD-1000L-12 are 720W models with 12V at 60A, SD-1000H-24 and SD-1000L-24 are 960W models with 24V at 40A, and SD-1000H-48 and SD-1000L-48 are 1008W models with 48V at 21A. The H version shown here has a 72-144V input range, while the L versions in this family are listed separately.
Can the SD-1000H-12 be used outdoors or in wide-temperature industrial environments?
The listed operating temperature range is -20°C to +60°C, so the temperature window is intended for industrial environments within that range. No IP rating is shown on this page, so the specs here do not indicate outdoor or washdown protection.

Model: SD-50C-12Quantity: 1I was notified it was shipped the next day of ordering. Tracking shows no progress beyond label being created. I expected reasonable shipping time coming from Massachussetts. Maybe the seller neglects to give that information that it may be shipped from China. Don't be mislead!
Response from Power Supply Mall|2026-08-14Thank you for your feedback. Your order of 1 unit of the SD-50C-12 placed on August 3rd shipped via FedEx, tracking 383002421062, and was delivered to your location on August 13th. The delivery took 8 business days, which is longer than our typical timeframe. This model is less commonly stocked, so we had to arrange it from another warehouse. Most of our power supplies ship from our main location, but this particular model required sourcing from an alternate facility.
