What are the differences between the HLG-80H-42, 42A, 42AB, and 42B models?
All four share 80W / 42V / 1.95A core specs with a CC voltage range of 25-42V. The base HLG-80H-42 has no adjustment or dimming and is IP67 waterproof. The -42A adds output adjustment via potentiometer (IP65). The -42AB adds both adjustment and 1-10V/PWM dimming (IP65). The -42B adds dimming input only and retains IP67.
Can I install the HLG-80H-42AB in a covered outdoor patio or carport?
Yes. Its IP65 rating protects against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, which suits covered outdoor areas where splashing rain and dust are present. For fully exposed installations, the IP67-rated HLG-80H-42 or HLG-80H-42B would be more appropriate.
