Yes, if the downlights are designed for constant-current operation at 1400mA. The connected load must stay within the 12-107V CC range and within the 149.8W power rating.
Is this driver suitable for waterproof sign lighting applications?
It can be used for constant-current signage modules where a sealed enclosure rating is important, because this model is rated IP67 waterproof. The LED load still needs to match 1400mA output and fit inside the 12-107V operating range.
Can this model handle small LED arrays in harsh temperature conditions?
Yes, the operating temperature range is -40°C to +80°C, which supports use in very cold and very hot environments. The driver also uses an aluminium casing and carries an IP67 rating for demanding locations.
Will the HVGC-150-1400B work with my LED string if I only know the forward voltage per LED?
This driver is compatible with constant-current LED loads rated for 1400mA, with a total string voltage inside 12-107V. The number of LEDs depends on each LED forward voltage, so the string should be sized from that value rather than from a preset LED count.
