Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the ELG-100-C1050 to power LED downlights in an outdoor fixture?
Yes. The ELG-100-C1050 carries an IP67 waterproof rating, making it suitable for use in outdoor luminaires exposed to rain or wash-down. It accepts 100–305VAC input and operates reliably from -40°C to +90°C.
Is the ELG-100-C1050 suitable for powering high-bay LED arrays in industrial settings?
Yes. At 99.75W and 1050mA constant current output, it can drive mid-power LED arrays used in industrial high-bay or commercial downlight fixtures. The metal enclosure and IP67 rating make it well suited for factory or warehouse environments.
Can I use this driver for LED signage modules that require a stable current?
Yes. The ELG-100-C1050 operates in constant current mode at 1050mA, which keeps LED forward current regulated regardless of forward-voltage variation across the sign panel. The CC output voltage range is 48–95V.
What LED forward voltage range is compatible with the ELG-100-C1050?
The driver's constant current output voltage range is 48–95V. LEDs or series strings whose combined forward voltage falls within that range are compatible; the number of LEDs in series depends on the forward voltage of each individual LED.
How does the ELG-100-C1050 differ from the ELG-100-C1050A or ELG-100-C1050B variants?
The base ELG-100-C1050 is a fixed constant-current driver with no dimming or output-adjustment interface. The C1050A adds an analog output-adjustment potentiometer, the C1050B adds 3-in-1 dimming (PWM/resistance/0-10V), and the C1050AB combines both adjustment and dimming. All four share the same 99.75W / 1050mA / IP67 ratings.
Can the ELG-100-C1050 operate on both 120V and 277V commercial mains?
Yes. The universal input range of 100–305VAC covers both 120V and 277V single-phase feeds common in North American commercial buildings, as well as 230V European mains.
