The DDR-120C is a 120W DIN Rail type DC-DC converter for railway and industrial applications. With a 33.6~67.2Vdc input range (nominal 48Vdc), it converts from 48Vdc on-board bus supplies to isolated 12V, 24V, or 48V outputs. Compliant with EN50155:2021 S1 level and rated per IEC61373 for shock and vibration, it operates from -40~+70°C in demanding transport environments.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the DDR-120C-12 to step down a 48V DC bus to 12V for edge computing devices?
Yes. The DDR-120C-12 accepts 33–67V DC input, which covers standard 48V DC distribution systems. It outputs 12V at up to 10A (120W), providing enough power for edge servers, mini PCs, or embedded computing nodes mounted on DIN rail in a network or telecom cabinet.
Is the DDR-120C-12 suitable for powering 12V peripherals in a 48V data center rack?
The DDR-120C-12 is designed for exactly this type of DC-DC conversion. With a 33–67V input range that spans the full 48V DC data center bus variation, it delivers 12V at 10A for fans, sensors, BMC modules, or other 12V accessories. The 4KVdc isolation helps maintain clean power separation.
Can this converter supply 12V to access control and intercom systems from a 48V building DC bus?
Yes. The DDR-120C-12 takes 33–67V input and produces 12V at up to 10A, which is more than sufficient for door controllers, card readers, intercoms, and electric strikes. The DIN rail form factor fits standard security panel enclosures, and the fanless design ensures silent operation near occupied spaces.
How does the DDR-120C-12 differ from the DDR-120B-12 and DDR-120D-12?
All three output 12V at 10A (120W) and share the same physical dimensions. The key difference is input voltage range: the DDR-120B-12 accepts 16–33V (for 24V bus systems), the DDR-120C-12 accepts 33–67V (for 48V bus systems), and the DDR-120D-12 accepts 67–154V (for 110V DC bus systems). Choose the variant that matches your source DC bus voltage.
Will the DDR-120C-12 function reliably in an outdoor telecom cabinet with no climate control?
The DDR-120C-12 is rated for -40°C to +85°C, which covers the temperature extremes of most outdoor installations. Its fanless design avoids filter clogging from insects and debris. For outdoor deployment, mount it inside a weatherproof enclosure rated IP55 or higher to shield it from rain and condensation.
