Frequently Asked Questions
Can the NPF-120-24 operate in cold-storage or freezer environments?
Yes. The NPF-120-24 is rated for operation from -40°C to +90°C. This range encompasses typical cold-storage and freezer facilities, as well as outdoor winter conditions, without any derating of the 120W output.
Is the NPF-120-24 appropriate for powering 24V LED strip lighting in commercial projects?
The NPF-120-24 outputs 24V DC at 5A (120W) in constant-current mode, with a CC voltage range of 14–24V. It is suitable for 24V LED strip runs in commercial cove, undercabinet, and perimeter lighting where 120W of total load is required. The IP67 housing is an advantage when the driver must be placed in a damp ceiling void or outdoor channel.
What is the difference between the NPF-120-24 and the NPF-120D-24?
Both deliver 24V at 5A (120W) with IP67 protection and identical physical dimensions (191.0 × 63.0 × 37.5 mm, 0.97 kg). The NPF-120D-24 adds built-in 3-in-1 dimming (PWM, 1–10V, and resistance control), while the NPF-120-24 has no dimming input. If your project requires remote brightness control, choose the NPF-120D-24; for fixed-brightness applications, the NPF-120-24 is sufficient.
What is the CC voltage range on the NPF-120-24?
The constant-current regulation range is 14–24V. Below 14V the driver transitions out of CC mode; above 24V is outside the rated output. At any load voltage within 14–24V, the driver holds output current at 5A.
