Yes. The HLG-80H-36 outputs 36V at up to 2.3A (80W) in constant-current mode with a CC voltage range of 21-36V. This makes it compatible with 36V LED panel lights commonly used in office, retail, and commercial ceiling applications, as long as the total load stays within 80W.
Is the HLG-80H-36 suitable for powering 36V LED high-bay or warehouse fixtures?
It can drive smaller 36V high-bay fixtures or a limited number of modules that total 80W or less. For larger high-bay installations that require more than 80W, you would need a higher-wattage HLG series model such as the HLG-120H-36 (120W) or HLG-150H-36 (150W).
Can I use the HLG-80H-36 for outdoor 36V LED strip installations?
Yes. Its IP67 waterproof rating allows fully exposed outdoor mounting, including locations subject to rain, snow, or washdown. At 80W and 36V, it can drive 36V LED strips as long as their total power draw does not exceed 80W. Note this is the fixed-output model — if you need dimming, consider the HLG-80H-36B.
How many meters of 36V LED strip can the HLG-80H-36 power?
That depends on the strip's rated power per meter. The HLG-80H-36 delivers up to 80W at 36V. For a strip rated at 16W/m, you could run up to 5 meters (80W / 16W per meter = 5m). Check your strip's power-per-meter spec and keep the total load at or below 80W.
Can the HLG-80H-36 operate reliably in freezing outdoor temperatures?
Yes. It is rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C, so it starts and runs reliably even in extreme cold. The IP67 waterproof aluminium enclosure provides additional protection against ice, snow, and condensation in cold-climate installations.
