Test conditions and notes5
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 24,48,96VDC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1μF & 47μF parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. All the EMC tests are been executed by mounting the unit on a 360mm*360mm metal plate with 1mm of thickness. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. For guidance on how to perform these EMC tests, please refer to “EMI testing of component power supplies.” (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf )
- 5. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).

FAQ
Can the SD-150D-24 power a 24V automation or control load from a 72-144V DC source?
Yes, this converter is designed for 72-144V input and delivers constant 24V output. It is rated for up to 6.3A and 151.2W, which fits 24V automation loads within those limits.
Is this a good fit for 24V embedded or industrial communications equipment on a higher-voltage DC bus?
It is suitable when the source is within the 72-144V input range and the load requires regulated 24V DC. The available output is 6.3A at 24V, with a total rating of 151.2W.
Can I use the SD-150D-24 for 24V signaling or control hardware in equipment that runs from high-voltage DC?
Yes, it is intended for stepping down 72-144V input to a constant 24V output. That makes it appropriate for 24V signaling and control hardware that does not exceed 6.3A or 151.2W.
Will the SD-150D-24 handle indoor industrial environments with temperature variation?
The published operating temperature range is -10°C to +60°C, with output load derating at higher ambient temperatures (see the derating curve). Since no IP rating is listed, it is best used in protected indoor cabinets or enclosures rather than exposed outdoor areas.
How does the SD-150D-24 compare with the other 24V SD-150 models?
The 24V SD-150 models are SD-150B-24, SD-150C-24, and SD-150D-24, and all three are rated at 151.2W and 6.3A. Their distinction is the input range: 19-36V for B, 36-72V for C, and 72-144V for D. The matching 12V versions are SD-150B-12, SD-150C-12, and SD-150D-12, each rated at 150W and 12.5A.
