Is the HLG-120H-54 a good driver for high-voltage LED panel arrays?
Yes. The 54V output is well matched to LED panels and COB modules that use higher forward voltages. With 120W capacity and a CC voltage range of 27-54V, it can drive series-connected LED arrays as long as the total load does not exceed 120W.
Can I run 54V LED grow lights from the HLG-120H-54?
Yes, provided the grow light requires 54V input and draws 120W or less. The constant-current operation mode and CC range of 27-54V ensure stable output even if the LED forward voltage shifts with temperature changes during long grow cycles.
How many meters of 54V LED strip can the HLG-120H-54 handle?
Divide 120W by your strip's power consumption per meter. For example, a 54V strip rated at 10W/m could run up to 12 meters (120W / 10W per meter = 12m). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load at or below 120W.
Can the HLG-120H-54 be installed in a fully exposed outdoor location?
Yes. Its IP67 waterproof rating protects against dust and temporary submersion. Combined with a -40°C to +80°C operating range, it can be permanently mounted outdoors on walls, poles, or inside open junction boxes without additional weatherproofing.
What are the differences between the HLG-120H-54, 54A, 54AB, and 54B models?
All four share the same 120W / 54V / 2.3A core specs. The base HLG-120H-54 has no output adjustment and is IP67 waterproof. The -54A adds output voltage/current adjustment via built-in potentiometer and is IP65. The -54AB adds both adjustment and 1-10V/PWM dimming input (IP65). The -54B adds dimming input only and retains IP67.
