Overview
HLG-120H-15A is the 15V output model of this series: rated current 8A, rated power 120W, typical efficiency 92%.
HLG-120H series is a 120W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-120H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 93.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-120H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
- 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to "STATIC CHARACTERISTIC" sections for details.
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.

Can I use the HLG-120H-15A for outdoor LED strip lighting with adjustable output?
The HLG-120H-15A outputs 15V at up to 8A (120W) and features adjustable output via built-in potentiometer, but carries an IP65 water-resistant rating rather than IP67. It is suitable for sheltered outdoor locations such as covered patios, carports, or sign enclosures, but should not be exposed to direct submersion or heavy water jets.
Is the HLG-120H-15A a good choice for powering 15V LED channel letter signs?
Yes. The adjustable output lets you fine-tune voltage and current to match your specific LED modules, and 120W at 15V is enough for small to medium channel letter signage. The IP65 rating is adequate when the driver is housed inside a weatherproof sign cabinet.
Can I use the HLG-120H-15A for 15V architectural cove lighting indoors?
It works well for indoor architectural cove lighting using 15V LED strips or modules. The adjustable output allows you to dial in the exact current between 4A and 8A, while the constant-current region spans 7.5-15V, which helps optimize brightness for the specific LED load. Total load must stay at or below 120W.
How many meters of 15V LED strip can the HLG-120H-15A drive?
The HLG-120H-15A supplies up to 120W at 15V. Divide 120W by your strip's rated wattage per meter to find the maximum length. For instance, a strip rated at 8W/m would allow up to 15 meters (120W / 8W per meter = 15m). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and stay within the 120W limit.
Is the HLG-120H-15A weatherproof enough for a rooftop or exposed wall installation?
The HLG-120H-15A is rated IP65, which protects against dust and low-pressure water jets but not submersion. For a rooftop where the driver is in a ventilated enclosure or under a canopy, IP65 is generally sufficient. For fully exposed locations with standing water risk, consider the IP67-rated HLG-120H-15 or HLG-120H-15B instead.
What does the 'A' suffix mean on the HLG-120H-15A compared to the base model?
The 'A' suffix indicates the model includes a built-in potentiometer for adjusting output voltage and current. The base HLG-120H-15 has fixed output. The A variant also carries an IP65 water-resistant rating instead of the base model's IP67 waterproof rating. Both deliver the same 120W, 15V, 8A output at their default settings.
