Overview
HLG-185H-C500A is the model of this series: rated current 500mA, rated power 200W, typical efficiency 94%. Type A: Io adjustable through built-in potentiometer (IP65).
HLG-185H-C series is a 200W AC/DC LED power supply featuring the constant current mode and high voltage output. HLG-185H-C operates from 90~305VAC and offers models with different rated current ranging between 500mA and 1400mA. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 94%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-185H-C is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

- 2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
- 3. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
- 4. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 5. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. - 6. To fulfill requirements of the latest ErP regulation for lighting fixtures, this LED driver can only be used behind a switch without permanently connected to the mains.

- 8. This series meets the typical life expectancy of >62,000 hours of operation when Tcase, particularly tc point (or TMP, per DLC), is about 75℃ or less.

Can I use the HLG-185H-C500A to drive a long series string of LED modules for signage?

The C700A delivers 700mA at 143-286V, and the C1050A outputs 1050mA at 95-190V for shorter strings with higher-current LEDs. Choose based on your LED modules' required drive current and forward voltage.
How many LEDs can the HLG-185H-C500A drive in series?
That depends on each LED's forward voltage at 500mA. The compliance range is 200-400V, so the total forward voltage of your series string must fall within that window. For example, LEDs with a 3.0V forward voltage could allow roughly 67 to 133 LEDs in series. Always verify your specific LED forward voltage specifications.
