HLG-40H series is a 40W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-40H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 89.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40 ~ +80 case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications.

Test conditions and notes13

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.

Can the HLG-40H-36 be used in a location prone to flooding or standing water?

The IP67 rating means it can withstand temporary submersion in up to 1 meter of water. While it handles brief flooding events, it is not designed for permanent underwater operation. For installations where periodic standing water or flooding is a risk, IP67 provides adequate short-term protection.

What are the differences between the HLG-40H-36, 36A, 36AB, and 36B models?

All four share the same 40W / 36V / 1.12A core specs with a CC range of 21.6-36V. The base HLG-40H-36 has fixed output and IP67 waterproofing. The -36A adds output voltage/current adjustment via potentiometer (IP65). The -36AB adds both adjustment and 1-10V/PWM dimming (IP65). The -36B offers dimming input only and retains IP67.
