Is the HLG-40H-48AB a good driver for small 48V LED signage projects?

Yes. The AB suffix means it supports both output voltage/current adjustment via built-in potentiometer and external dimming via 1-10V, PWM, or resistance input. This makes it well suited for applications where you need both precise output trimming and remote brightness control.
How many meters of 48V LED strip can the HLG-40H-48AB drive?
Divide 40W by your strip's power per meter. For example, a 48V strip rated at 8W/m would allow up to 5 meters (40W / 8W per meter = 5m). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep the total load at or below 40W.
What is the difference between the HLG-40H-48, 48A, 48AB, and 48B models?
All four share the same 40W / 48V / 0.84A core specs. The base HLG-40H-48 has no adjustment or dimming and is IP67 waterproof. The -48A adds output voltage/current adjustment via potentiometer (IP65). The -48AB adds both adjustment and 1-10V/PWM dimming input (IP65). The -48B adds dimming input only and retains IP67.
Is the HLG-40H-48AB suitable for installation in a dusty warehouse or workshop?
Yes. Its IP65 rating provides complete protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets. The aluminium casing and -40°C to +80°C operating temperature range also make it durable in environments with temperature fluctuations and airborne particulates.
