HLG-80H series is a 80W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-80H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-80H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes14

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

Can I use the HLG-80H-54A to power 54V LED strips in a covered outdoor area?

Yes. The HLG-80H-54A outputs 80W at 54V and has an IP65-rated metal housing designed for indoor and outdoor applications. Covered patios, soffits, and canopies are suitable locations. For fully exposed rain installations, the IP67-rated HLG-80H-54 or -54B is a better fit.

Is the adjustable output on the HLG-80H-54A useful for tuning LED brightness without a dimmer?

Yes. The built-in potentiometers let you trim the output voltage (49-58V) and current (0.9-1.5A), which is helpful when you want to reduce brightness slightly or match the driver output precisely to an LED load, without needing an external dimming controller.
