LDC-55 is the model of this series: rated power 55W, typical efficiency 90%(230VAC@Full load). Type Blank: Non dimming.
LDC-55 series is a 55W AC/DC LED driver featuring the Constant Power mode output. LDC-55 operates from 180~295VAC and output current can be adjust between 500mA to 1600mA. Thanks to the efficiency up to 90%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate -25℃~+80℃ case temperature under free air convection.LDC-55 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

- 3. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
- 4. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 5. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. - 7. This series meets the typical life expectancy of >50000 hours of operation when Tcase, particularly tc point (or TMP, per DLC), is about 70℃ or less.

Can I use the LDC-55 for higher-power LED downlights?
Yes, if the downlight is designed for constant current operation and the LED load falls within the 27-56V constant current range. Output current is adjustable from 500 to 1600mA (1050mA default) with a resistor on the IADJ terminals, the full 55W is available from 980 to 1600mA, and it uses constant current operation rather than constant voltage output.
Is the LDC-55 a fit for larger signage modules or LED light boxes?
It can be a fit for signage modules designed as a constant current LED load within 27-56V at a current set between 500 and 1600mA. This driver is not for constant voltage signage systems, so the module should be specified for constant current operation.
Can the LDC-55 run a small LED array with more power than a 35W driver?
Yes, if the array is built for constant current operation within the 500-1600mA adjustable range and its total forward voltage is within 27-56V. The driver is rated at 55W, with full power available from 980 to 1600mA, but the load still has to match the current and voltage window of this driver.
What LED load is compatible with the LDC-55?
The compatible load is a constant current LED assembly whose current is within the 500-1600mA setting range (1050mA default) and whose total forward voltage is in the 27-56V CC range, at no more than 55W. The number of LEDs depends on each LED's forward voltage, so the correct match is determined by the load's total forward voltage rather than a fixed LED count.
How does the LDC-55 compare to other LDC linear series options?
LDC-55 is a 55W constant power mode driver with a 500-1600mA adjustable output and a 27-56V CC range. On the same sheet, the B-type adds 3-in-1 dimming (0-10VDC, 10V PWM or resistance) and the DA-type adds DALI and push dimming at the same 55W rating; the standard LDC-55 has no dimming input but offers NTC temperature compensation.
