Test conditions and notes5
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. All the EMC tests are been executed by mounting the unit on a 360mm*360mm metal plate with 1mm of thickness. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. For guidance on how to perform these EMC tests, please refer to “EMI testing of component power supplies.” (as available on http://www.meanwell.com)
- 5. Derating may be needed under low input voltages. Please check the derating curve for more details.

FAQ
Can I use the SP-75-12 for a 12V industrial control panel?
Yes, this model is a constant voltage 12V supply rated for 75.6W and 6.3A. That makes it a fit for 12V industrial control loads that stay within 75.6W total demand.
Is the SP-75-12 suitable for 12V automation devices like relays, fans, and interface modules?
It can support 12V automation hardware when the combined load stays within 6.3A and 75.6W. The constant voltage output is intended for equipment that expects a fixed 12V source.
Can this power supply run a 12V embedded or test-bench load?
Yes, if the equipment needs a regulated 12V output and the total draw does not exceed 75.6W. Its 85-264VAC input also supports use in facilities with different AC input standards.
Is the SP-75-12 appropriate for indoor or outdoor use?
The operating temperature range is -10°C to +60°C. An IP rating is not listed in the provided specs, so outdoor exposure or wet-location suitability is not established from these specs alone.
When should I choose the SP-75-12 instead of a higher-current 12V model?
Choose it when your 12V load fits within 75.6W and 6.3A. If the application needs more than 6.3A at 12V, a higher-output 12V unit in the same series would be the better fit.
