Yes. The APV-12-12 outputs 12V at up to 1A, giving a maximum of 12W. It suits short runs of 12V LED strip in enclosed spaces such as under-cabinet or display-case lighting. Keep the total strip load at or below 12W.
How many meters of 12V LED strip can the APV-12-12 drive?
The APV-12-12 delivers 12W at 12V. Dividing 12W by your strip's rated power per meter gives the maximum length — for example, 12W ÷ 4.8 W/m equals about 2.5 m. Always check your strip's rated power per meter and derate to around 80% of the driver's capacity for reliable operation.
Is the APV-12-12 suitable for outdoor or damp-location use?
The APV-12-12 carries an IP42 rating, which protects against solid objects larger than 1 mm and dripping water falling at an angle up to 15°. It is not rated for direct outdoor exposure, rain, or splash environments. For outdoor or wet-location LED signage, a driver rated IP65 or higher is required.
How does the APV-12-12 differ from the APV-12-15 and APV-12-24 in the same wattage family?
