This makes the ELG-150-C500AB suitable for commercial LED downlight or architectural lighting projects where designers need both initial commissioning adjustment and ongoing scene control.
Is the ELG-150-C500AB rated for damp or wet locations?
The ELG-150-C500AB carries an IP65 water-resistant rating, protecting against low-pressure water jets. It is appropriate for enclosed or partially sheltered luminaires in damp locations. For full outdoor exposure or submersion risk, the IP67-rated C500B or C500 models would be more appropriate.
Can this driver be used in a DALI-free building that still needs dimming capability?
Yes. The B-type dimming interface on the ELG-150-C500AB supports 0–10V, PWM, and resistance dimming methods without requiring a DALI bus. This allows integration with most standard dimming controllers found in non-DALI commercial or retail environments.
How does the ELG-150-C500AB differ from the ELG-150-C500B?
Both models deliver 500mA constant current at 150W with a 150–300V compliance range and three-in-one dimming. The AB model adds the A-type output current adjustment trim on top of the B-type dimming, giving more flexibility during commissioning. The C500B is rated IP67 waterproof; the C500AB is rated IP65 water-resistant.
What load can the ELG-150-C500AB drive at 500mA constant current?
The driver delivers 500mA constant current across a compliance voltage range of 150–300V. The number of LEDs that can be driven in series depends on each LED's forward voltage — the combined string voltage must fall within 150–300V, and total power must not exceed 150W.
Does the ELG-150-C500AB operate on worldwide input voltages?
Yes. It accepts 100–305VAC input, covering 120V, 208V, 240V, and 277V circuits without any manual switching. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +90°C.
