How many meters of 30V LED strip can the HLG-480H-30A support?
Divide 480W by your strip's wattage per meter. A 30V strip rated at 15W/m could run up to 32 meters (480W / 15W per meter = 32m). A strip at 24W/m would allow 20 meters. Check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total draw at or below 480W.
Is the HLG-480H-30A suitable for fully exposed outdoor mounting?
Not recommended for fully exposed locations. The HLG-480H-30A carries an IP65 water-resistance rating, which handles dust and low-pressure water spray but is not designed for submersion or prolonged direct rain. Mount it in a sheltered spot or use a weatherproof enclosure. For IP67 waterproof protection, choose the HLG-480H-30 or HLG-480H-30B.
What are the differences between the HLG-480H-30, 30A, 30AB, and 30B?
All four share the same 480W / 30V / 16A core specs with a CC range of 15-30V. The base HLG-480H-30 has fixed output and IP67 waterproofing. The -30A adds output voltage/current adjustment via potentiometer (IP65). The -30AB adds both adjustment and 1-10V/PWM dimming (IP65). The -30B offers dimming input only and retains IP67 waterproofing.
