How long a 15V LED strip run can the APV-16-15 support?
The APV-16-15 provides 15W at 15V. Dividing 15W by your strip's rated power per meter gives the maximum length — at 5 W/m, for example, that is 3 m. Check your strip's rated power per meter and design to about 80% of the driver's rated output for long-term reliability.
Can the APV-16-15 be mounted inside a semi-outdoor enclosure?
The APV-16-15 has an IP42 ingress protection rating, meaning it resists solid particles larger than 1 mm and limited dripping water. It is not rated for direct outdoor exposure or splash conditions. For semi-outdoor or protected outdoor applications, use this driver inside a sealed IP-rated enclosure or select a driver with IP65 or higher protection.
