Test conditions and notes9
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Derating may be needed under low input voltage. Please check the static characteristics for more details.
- 5. The power supply is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf)
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 7. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).

What 24V LED lighting tasks is the APV-25-24 suited to?
The APV-25-24 outputs 24V at 1.05A for a maximum of 25.2W. It suits medium-length 24V LED strip runs in retail shelving and display cases, 24V LED panel fixtures, and small backlit signage panels where total load is at or below 25.2W.
How long a 24V LED strip run can the APV-25-24 support?
The APV-25-24 provides 25.2W at 24V. At a strip rated 14.4 W/m, the maximum supported length is approximately 1.75 m. Divide 25.2W by your strip's rated power per meter to find your specific limit, and check your strip's rated power per meter before specifying.
How does the APV-25-24 compare to the APV-16-24 and APV-35-24?
The APV-25-24 datasheet covers only the APV-25 series, so check the APV-16-24 and APV-35-24 ratings on their own datasheets. The APV-25-24 provides 25.2W at 1.05A from 90–264VAC in an 84.0 × 57.0 × 29.5 mm enclosure. Select based on total wattage required.
What certifications does the APV-25-24 carry for North American and European use?
The APV-25-24 is approved to UL8750 and CSA C22.2 No. 250.0-13 for North America, and to BS EN/EN 62368-1 with EMC compliance to BS EN/EN55032 and EN55035 for Europe; it also carries EAC and BIS IS15885. It is not intended for LED luminaire applications in the EU. It accepts 90–264VAC input, so no voltage switching is needed between regions.
