ELG-150-42A is the 42V output model of this series: rated current 3.57A, typical efficiency 90%. Type A: Io and Vo adjustable through built-in potentiometer (IP65).

ELG-150 series is a 150W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. ELG-150 operates from 100~305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. ELG-150 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system

Test conditions and notes12

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

What control interface does the ELG-150-42A support for dimming?

The 'A' suffix on the ELG-150 series indicates a built-in potentiometer, not a dimming input: the ELG-150-42A lets you set the output voltage (37.8–46.2V) and current (1.8–3.57A) by hand. It has no external dimming leads; for 0–10V, 10V PWM, or resistance dimming choose the ELG-150-42B or 42AB, and for DALI the 42DA.

Can I use the ELG-150-42A with a 0–10V wall dimmer for 42V LED strip lighting in a retail space?

No. The ELG-150-42A has no 0–10V dimming input; its potentiometer only sets a fixed output level during installation. For brightness control of 42V LED strip displays or accent lighting from a 0–10V wall dimmer, use the ELG-150-42B or ELG-150-42AB.

Is the ELG-150-42A suitable for semi-exposed outdoor LED strip installations?

The ELG-150-42A is rated IP65, meaning it is dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water spray from any direction. This makes it appropriate for semi-sheltered outdoor installations such as covered walkways, canopy soffits, or outdoor-rated enclosures where direct rain exposure is avoided.

How much 42V LED strip can the ELG-150-42A power?

The ELG-150-42A outputs 150W at 42V. Divide 150W by your strip's power per meter to find maximum length. Check your specific strip's rated power per meter and limit continuous load to about 80% — roughly 12 m and 8 m respectively in those examples.

Is the ELG-150-42A a good fit for museum or gallery track lighting using 42V LED modules?

Yes, where a fixed, precisely set light level is needed. The built-in potentiometer and 150W capacity let installers calibrate the output of museum or gallery accent lighting during commissioning; if run-time dimming is required, choose the 42B or 42AB. Its IP65 housing also tolerates the humidity-controlled environments common in these spaces.

Can the ELG-150-42A power LED strips in a hospitality or hotel corridor with a building automation 0–10V dimming system?

It can power the strips, but it cannot be dimmed by a 0–10V building automation system because the A type has no dimming input. For 0–10V control, the ELG-150-42B or ELG-150-42AB is the right choice. The 150W output can drive a long run of 42V LED strip along a corridor without requiring parallel drivers.
