HBG-100-24DA is the model of this series: rated current 4A, rated power 96W, typical efficiency 90.5%. Type DA: DALI control technology (IP67).

HBG-100 series is a 100W AC/DC LED driver featuring the circular shape design. It operates from 90~305VAC and offers the constant current output models with different rated voltage between 24V and 60V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +85℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HBG-100 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes10

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
3. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
4. Length of set up time is measured at cold first start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
5. The DA type power supply is less efficient than the typical efficiency in specification by 1%.
6. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. Can the HBG-100-24DA be used with a constant current LED downlight engine?

Yes, if the LED downlight is designed for constant current operation and its load falls within the 14.4-24V CC range. This is not a constant voltage 24V supply, so it should not be selected for LED products that require fixed-voltage output.

Is this a good driver for a compact signage light engine?

It can be, provided the signage light engine is a constant current LED load within the 14.4-24V range and under 96W. For common constant voltage signage modules, a constant voltage supply would be the correct type instead.

Can I use the HBG-100-24DA for a small LED array in a circular high-bay style fixture?
