Overview
HLG-100H-42AB is the 42V output model of this series: rated current 2.28A, rated power 95.76W, typical efficiency 93%. Type AB: Io and Vo adjustable through built-in potentiometer & 3 in 1 dimming function (1~10Vdc, 10V PWM signal and resistance) (IP65).
HLG-100H series is a 100W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-100H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 20V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 93%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-100H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes15
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
- 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. - 8. To fulfill requirements of the latest ErP regulation for lighting fixtures, this LED driver can only be used behind a switch without permanently connected to the mains.

- 10. This series meets the typical life expectancy of >62,000 hours of operation when Tcase, particularly tc point (or TMP, per DLC), is about 80℃ or less.

Can I use the HLG-100H-42AB with a 0-10V dimmer for 42V LED retail display lighting?
The HLG-100H-42AB accepts 1-10VDC, 10V PWM (100Hz-3kHz) or resistance dimming between DIM+ and DIM-, so it works with controllers that provide a 1-10V signal. For turning the fixture fully off (0%), the sheet recommends a switch and relay on the AC input. It handles up to 95.76W total load.
Is the HLG-100H-42AB a good choice for dimmable 42V LED architectural accent lighting?
It is well suited for architectural accent applications where you need both fine output tuning and scene-based dimming. The built-in potentiometer sets the baseline output, while the dimming input enables dynamic brightness control. Total load must stay at or below 95.76W at 42V.
Can I power a dimmable 42V LED light box or backlit sign with the HLG-100H-42AB?

How many meters of 42V LED strip can the HLG-100H-42AB drive while dimming?
The maximum strip length is determined by the driver's 95.76W rated power, not the dimming level. Divide 95.76W by your strip's rated wattage per meter. A strip rated at 10W/m would allow up to about 9.5 meters (95.76W / 10W per meter). Always check your strip's rated power per meter.
Can I install the HLG-100H-42AB in an outdoor sign enclosure?
The HLG-100H series' IP65/IP67 metal-housing design suits enclosed or semi-enclosed outdoor sign cabinets. For fully exposed installations where submersion or heavy water ingress is possible, confirm the exact IP rating of this AB-type first.
What makes the HLG-100H-42AB different from the 42A and 42B models?
The -42AB combines both features: adjustable output (potentiometers, 38-46V / 1.4-2.28A) and dimming input (1-10V/PWM/resistance). The -42A has adjustable output only (no dimming). The -42B has dimming only (no potentiometer adjustment). All share the same 95.76W, 42V, 2.28A core specs.
