HLG-120H series is a 120W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-120H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 93.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-120H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes14

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

Can I use the HLG-120H-30 to power 30V LED strip lighting outdoors?

Yes. The HLG-120H-30 outputs 30V at up to 4A (120W) with an IP67 waterproof rating, making it suitable for outdoor 30V LED strip installations. The metal housing and -40°C to +80°C case temperature (Tcase) rating let it handle rain, snow, and temperature extremes year-round.

Is the HLG-120H-30 appropriate for driving 30V LED modules in outdoor signage?

Yes. At 120W and 30V output with a wide 90-305VAC input, it can power outdoor 30V channel letters, cabinet signs, and illuminated directories. The IP67 waterproof rating means the driver can be mounted near the sign without extra weatherproofing.

Can I use the HLG-120H-30 for 30V commercial or industrial LED panel lighting?

Yes. The 120W capacity at 30V can drive multiple 30V LED panels in parallel, provided their combined load stays within 120W. The constant-current region of 15-30V lets it drive LED loads directly in constant-current mode as well as in constant-voltage mode.

How many meters of 30V LED strip can the HLG-120H-30 power?

That depends on the strip's rated power per meter. The HLG-120H-30 delivers up to 120W at 30V. If your strip draws 15W/m, you could run up to 8 meters (120W / 15W per meter = 8m). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep the total load at or below 120W.

Can the HLG-120H-30 be installed in a location subject to hose-down or temporary flooding?

For temporary flooding, yes. The IP67 rating means the enclosure is protected against temporary submersion up to 1 meter, so it handles heavy rain and temporary flooding. Combined with its -40°C to +80°C case temperature (Tcase) rating, it suits exposed outdoor mounting; the sheet does not rate it for high-pressure hose-down cleaning.

What are the differences between the HLG-120H-30, 30A, 30AB, and 30B variants?

All four share the same 120W / 30V / 4A core specs. The base HLG-120H-30 has fixed output and IP67 waterproof rating. The -30A adds output voltage/current adjustment via built-in potentiometer (IP65). The -30AB adds both adjustment and 1-10V/PWM dimming input (IP65). The -30B offers dimming input only and retains IP67 waterproof rating.
