How many meters of 12V LED strip can the HLG-185H-12 power?
Divide 156W by your strip's rated power per meter. For example, a strip drawing 14.4W/m could run up to about 10.8 meters (156W / 14.4W per meter). A lower-power strip at 7.2W/m could reach about 21.6 meters. Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep total load at or below 156W.
Can the HLG-185H-12 be buried in a ground-level junction box or installed in a fountain?
The IP67 rating protects against temporary immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes, so ground-level wet junction boxes are fine. However, it is not rated for continuous submersion, so permanently submerged fountain applications would require an IP68-rated enclosure or driver.
What are the differences between the HLG-185H-12, 12A, 12AB, and 12B models?
All four share the same 156W / 12V / 13A core specs. The base HLG-185H-12 has no output adjustment and is IP67 waterproof. The -12A adds output voltage/current adjustment via built-in potentiometer and is IP65. The -12AB adds both adjustment and 1-10V/PWM dimming input (IP65). The -12B adds dimming input only and retains IP67.
