HLG-60H-48B is the 48V output model of this series: rated current 1.3A, rated power 62.4W, typical efficiency 90.5%.

HLG-60H series is a 60W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-60H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 15V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-60H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes14

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.

Can I use the HLG-60H-48B for outdoor 48V LED pathway lighting with dimming?

Yes. The HLG-60H-48B delivers 48V at up to 1.3A (62.4W) with a 1-10V/PWM dimming input, and its IP67 waterproof rating protects against rain and dust. It is well suited for fully exposed pathway or garden lighting installations where brightness scheduling is desired.

Is the HLG-60H-48B suitable for dimmable 48V LED fixtures in a car wash?

Only with care. The IP67 rating protects against dust and water, but the datasheet makes no claim for high-pressure spray or chemical resistance, so mount the driver away from direct wash spray and chemicals. It operates at a -40°C to +80°C case temperature (Tcase), and the dimming input allows brightness reduction during off-peak hours.

Can the HLG-60H-48B power 48V LED flood lights for a building facade?

Yes, provided the total load stays within 62.4W. The HLG-60H-48B is IP67 waterproof and operates at a case temperature (Tcase) of -40°C to +80°C, making it reliable for permanent outdoor facade lighting. The dimming input lets you program nighttime brightness reduction for energy savings.

How many meters of 48V LED strip can the HLG-60H-48B drive?

It depends on your strip's wattage per meter. The HLG-60H-48B is rated 62.4W at 48V. A strip rated at 10W/m would allow about 6.2 meters (62.4W / 10W per meter). A 15W/m strip would allow about 4.1 meters. Check your strip's rated power per meter and stay within 62.4W total.

Can the HLG-60H-48B survive being buried in an underground junction box?

It should not be buried directly. IP67 makes the housing dust-tight and water-resistant, but the datasheet does not rate it for burial or submersion. In an in-grade junction box, fit waterproof connectors (MEAN WELL M12/M15) or the CJ04 cable joiner to the cables and follow the IP installation cautions in MEAN WELL's user manual.
