Overview

HVG-150-12A is the 12V output model of this series: rated current 10A, rated power 120W, typical efficiency 87%. Type A: Io and Vo adjustable through built-in potentiometer (IP65).

HVG-150 series is a 150W AC/DC LED power supply featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HVG-150 operates from 180~528 VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91.5%, with the fanless design, the series is able to operate from -40℃ through as high as +85℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HVG-150 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes13

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 347VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.

Can I use the HVG-150-12A for 12V LED strip lighting?

It can be used with a 12V LED lighting load that operates within the 7.2~12V CC range and stays within 120W and 10A. That makes it suitable for larger 12V lighting runs where the load matches the driver's 12V output range.

Is this power supply suitable for 12V sign box or cabinet lighting?

Yes, if the sign lighting load is designed around 12V operation within the 7.2~12V constant-current range and does not exceed 120W or 10A. The IP65 water-resistant housing also makes it reasonable for sign applications in damp or outdoor locations.

Can the HVG-150-12A be used for outdoor landscape or pathway lighting?

It can work for 12V outdoor lighting systems when the load fits the 7.2~12V range and stays within 120W at 10A. Its IP65 water-resistant rating and -40°C to +75°C operating temperature range support outdoor use where a sealed driver is preferred.
