HVGC-150-1050AB is the model of this series: rated current 1050mA, rated power 150.15W, typical efficiency 90%. Type AB: Io adjustable through built-in potentiometer & 3 in 1 dimming function (0~10Vdc, 10V PWM signal and resistance) (IP65).

HVGC-150 series is a 150W LED AC/DC LED power supply featuring the constant current mode and high voltage output. HVGC-150 operates from 180~528VAC and offers models with different rated current ranging between 350mA and 1400mA. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HVGC-150 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes13

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 347VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
3. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
4. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.
5. Current ripple is measured between 50%~100% of maximum voltage under rated power delivery.
6. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. Can I use the HVGC-150-1050AB for a 1050mA LED downlight array?

Yes, if the downlight array is designed for constant current at 1050mA. The total LED forward voltage needs to stay within the 15-143V constant-current range, and the total load needs to stay within 150.15W.

Is this driver suitable for signage modules that run on constant current?

It can be a fit for signage modules that are specified for 1050mA constant-current operation. The connected module string must fall inside the 15-143V CC output range, and it is not the right choice for constant-voltage signage products.

Can this model power a small LED array in a damp or outdoor location?

The HVGC-150 series is IP65 or IP67 approved, and the sheet notes a waterproof connector can be assembled on the output cable for wet, damp or outdoor environments. It works at a case temperature (Tcase) of -40°C to +80°C with load derating at higher temperatures; AB-type units need to be considered for built-in use to comply with UL8750 Type HL.

Will this driver work with my LED load if I do not know the exact LED count yet?

The key match point is the constant-current output of 1050mA and the 15-143V CC voltage range. The number of LEDs depends on each LED forward voltage, so this should be checked from the LED data rather than estimated by count alone.
