HVGC-150-500A is the model of this series: rated current 500mA, rated power 150W, typical efficiency 91%. Type A: Io adjustable through built-in potentiometer (IP65).

HVGC-150 series is a 150W LED AC/DC LED power supply featuring the constant current mode and high voltage output. HVGC-150 operates from 180~528VAC and offers models with different rated current ranging between 350mA and 1400mA. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HVGC-150 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 347VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
3. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
4. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.
5. Current ripple is measured between 50%~100% of maximum voltage under rated power delivery.
6. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. 7. To fulfill requirements of the latest ErP regulation for lighting fixtures, this LED driver can only be used behind a switch without permanently connected to the mains.

Can I use the HVGC-150-500A for LED downlights that need 500mA drive current?

Yes, if the downlight array is designed for constant current operation at 500mA and its total forward voltage falls within 30-300V. This driver is not intended for constant voltage LED products.

Is this driver suitable for constant current signage modules?

It can be, provided the signage modules require 500mA constant current and the combined forward voltage stays within the 30-300V constant current range. With a 150W rating, it is meant for substantial constant current LED loads within those electrical limits.

Will the HVGC-150-500A work with a small LED array that needs more current than 350mA?
