Test conditions and notes12
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Derating may be needed under low input voltage. Please check the static characteristics for more details.
- 5. The power supply is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. What types of LED loads is the LPV-100-15 designed for?
The LPV-100-15 outputs a constant 15V DC at up to 6.7A (100.5W total), making it suited for 15V LED strips and modular LED signage panels that require a voltage rail above the common 12V standard. Its IP67 rating also makes it usable in covered outdoor signage out of direct sunlight.
Can the LPV-100-15 be used in a humid or wet outdoor environment?
The unit is fully encapsulated to IP67, dust-tight and able to withstand temporary water immersion, and Mean Well rates it for indoor use or outdoor use without direct sunlight exposure, so it is appropriate for covered or shaded outdoor installations and damp environments such as garden feature lighting or exterior channel-letter signage using 15V strips.
How many meters of 15V LED strip can the LPV-100-15 support?
With 100.5W available at 15V, divide by your strip's rated wattage per meter to find the limit — a 10 W/m strip allows roughly 10 meters, and a 7.5 W/m strip allows about 13 meters. Always confirm the exact rated power per meter printed on your strip before finalising the run length.
Is the LPV-100-15 certifed for North American markets?
Yes. The LPV-100-15 is approved to UL8750, UL879 and CSA C22.2 for North America, plus IEC/EN62368-1, BIS IS15885 and EAC TP TC 004 for European, Indian and Eurasian markets.
