Overview
NPF-90-42 is the 42V output model of this series: rated current 2.15A, rated power 90.3W, typical efficiency 90.5%.
NPF-90 series is a 90W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual modes constant voltage and constant current output. NPF-90 operates from 90~305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 91%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +85℃ case temperature under free air convection. The entire series is rated with IP67 ingress protection level and is suitable to work for a variety of applications at dry, damp or wet locations.

Test conditions and notes11
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
- 3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 4. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. Can the NPF-90-42 be installed outdoors without an additional housing?
Yes. The NPF-90-42 carries an IP67 waterproof rating, protecting it against dust and temporary water immersion, and is rated for a case temperature (Tcase) of -40°C to +85°C. Follow the IP waterproof installation cautions in MEAN WELL's user manual.
What LED lighting applications suit the NPF-90-42?
The NPF-90-42 delivers 90.3W at 42V with a constant current of 2.15A and a CC voltage range of 25.2–42V. It is well matched to 42V constant-current LED modules used in high-pole area lighting, outdoor sports field fixtures, or large industrial bay lights where the LED string voltage falls within 25.2–42V.
Does the NPF-90-42 include dimming capability?
No. The NPF-90-42's specification lists no dimming function; it is a constant-voltage plus constant-current driver (90.3W, 42V, 2.15A, IP67).
What is the CC voltage range of the NPF-90-42?
The NPF-90-42 maintains its 2.15A constant current output for LED loads with a forward voltage between 25.2V and 42V. Below about 60% of rated voltage it enters hiccup protection; at lighter loads it regulates at 42V constant voltage.
