Yes, if the LED engine is specified for constant current operation at 500mA. This 60W step-down driver regulates current, so it is intended for LED loads that should not be run from a constant voltage source.
Is the NLDD-500H suitable for channel letter signage or compact LED arrays?
It can work for signage modules or compact LED arrays that are designed for 500mA constant current drive. The LED load must also remain within the 52-6V constant current range of the driver.
Can I use this driver in a small custom luminaire with limited space?
The module is compact at 32.1 × 20.5 × 12.5 mm and weighs 0.0156 kg, which helps in smaller luminaires or integrated LED products. Electrically, it is still a 500mA constant current driver with up to 60W capacity.
