Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the ELG-150-C1400 to drive LED downlights in a commercial building?
Yes. The ELG-150-C1400 is a constant current driver rated at 149.8W and 1400mA, which is a common drive current for mid-to-high-power LED downlight modules. Its CC output voltage range of 54–107V allows it to work with LED arrays whose combined forward voltage falls within that window.
Is the ELG-150-C1400 suitable for outdoor LED signage applications?
Yes. The ELG-150-C1400 carries an IP67 waterproof rating, making it suitable for direct exposure to rain and dusty environments. Its operating temperature range of -40°C to +90°C also supports year-round outdoor signage use.
Can this driver power LED modules in a wet or washdown environment?
Yes. The IP67 rating means the ELG-150-C1400 is protected against temporary immersion in water, so it can be installed in locations subject to hosing or heavy moisture. Its metal case provides additional mechanical protection.
How many LEDs can I connect to the ELG-150-C1400?
The driver outputs a constant 1400mA across a CC voltage range of 54–107V. The number of LEDs you can connect in series depends on each LED's forward voltage — there is no fixed count. Your total string voltage must fall within 54–107V at full load.
What is the difference between the ELG-150-C1400 and variants like the C1400A, C1400B, or C1400DA?
All ELG-150-C1400 variants share the same 149.8W output and 1400mA constant current. The base model (C1400) has no dimming. The C1400A adds output-voltage adjustment. The C1400B adds 1–10V/PWM/resistance dimming. The C1400AB combines adjustment and dimming. The C1400DA uses DALI protocol dimming. The C1400D2 is the D2-type dimming variant at a slightly different output voltage.
Can the ELG-150-C1400 accept both 120V and 277V mains input?
Yes. The ELG-150-C1400 accepts a wide input range of 100–305VAC, covering standard 120V, 208V, 240V, and 277V commercial circuits without requiring manual voltage switching.
