Overview
HBGC-300-H-AB is the model of this series: rated power 301.6W, typical efficiency 92.5%. Type AB: output constant power adjustable via built-in potentiometer + 3 in 1 dimming (0~10Vdc, 10V PWM signal and resistance) (IP67).
HBGC-300 series is a 300W LED AC/DC driver featuring the constant power mode and high voltage output. HBGC-300 operates from 90~305VAC and offers models with different rated current ranging between 1300mA and 8670mA. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 94.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃~+80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. Moreover the innovative environment-adaptive capability allows this series to reliably light on the LEDs for all kinds of application environments in almost any spots that may install LED luminaire in the world. HBGC-300 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
- 3. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf)
- 4. This series meets the typical life expectancy of >50,000 hours of operation when Tcase, particularly tc point (or TMP, per DLC), is about 75℃ or less.
- 5. To fulfill requirements of the latest ErP regulation for lighting fixture, this LED drive can only be used behind a switch without permanently connected to the mains.

Can I use the HBGC-300-H-AB for dimmable LED downlights?
Yes, when the downlight system uses a constant current driver and its LED load stays within the 29-58V constant current range. This version also supports 0-10Vdc, 10V PWM, and resistance dimming, which can be useful in dimmable lighting systems.
Is the HBGC-300-H-AB a fit for dimmable signage LED modules?
It can be a fit for signage modules that are designed for constant current operation within 29-58V and where dimming control is needed. It is not a constant voltage supply for 12V or 24V signage products.
Can this model power a small LED array in a wet or exposed location?
Yes, if the LED array is a constant current load within the 29-58V CC range. The IP67 waterproof rating and -40°C to +80°C case temperature (Tcase) working range support use in harsh indoor or outdoor environments.

Check that the LED assembly is built for constant current, not constant voltage, and that its total forward voltage falls within 29-58V. The number of LEDs depends on each LED's forward voltage, so there is no single fixed LED count for this driver.
When should I choose the HBGC-300-H-AB instead of the other HBGC-300 models?
Within the 301.6W HBGC-300 family, H models use 5600mA with a 29-58V CC range, M models use 2800mA with a 58-116V CC range, and L models use 1400mA with a 116-232V CC range. Compared with the H-A version, the H-AB adds 0-10Vdc, 10V PWM, and resistance dimming, while the H-ADA version uses DALI dimming.
