Test conditions and notes3
- 1. All parameters are specified at normal input(12VDC,24VDC), rated load, 25℃ 70% RH ambient.
- 2. (Blank) type and W type output voltage must step up by 3 Volts from input DC voltage; (Blank)DA type and WDA type output voltage must step up by 12 Volts from input DC voltage.
- 3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf parallel capacitor.

Can I use the LDH-45A-500W for 500mA architectural LED downlights?
Yes, when the downlight is a constant current load rated for 500mA and the total LED forward voltage is within 12-86V. This driver provides up to 43W and up to 86V output voltage, so it suits higher-voltage constant current downlight assemblies in that range. It is not intended for fixed-voltage LED products.
Is the LDH-45A-500W appropriate for waterproof signage lighting or small LED arrays?
It can be used for constant current signage modules or compact LED arrays that require 500mA and operate within the 12-86V constant current range. It has no IP or waterproof rating on the datasheet, so in wet installations the sign must protect it; the operating range is -40°C to +70°C (refer to the derating curve). The total LED load must remain within 43W.
Can this step-up driver handle a constant current LED string that needs a wide output range?
Yes, the LDH-45A-500W regulates constant current at 500mA across 12-86V and can deliver up to 86V output voltage. That makes it useful for small LED arrays or downlights with a wider string voltage requirement. The load must still stay within the 43W power rating.
