Is the HLG-240H-20A suitable for an outdoor installation exposed to direct rain?
The HLG-240H-20A has an IP65 water-resistant rating, which protects against low-pressure water jets and dust but is not rated for submersion or heavy sustained rain exposure. It is appropriate for sheltered outdoor locations. For fully exposed installations, the IP67-rated HLG-240H-20 or HLG-240H-20B would be a better choice.
What is the difference between the HLG-240H-20A and the HLG-240H-20AB?
Both share the same 240W / 20V / 12A output and IP65 rating. The HLG-240H-20A offers output voltage/current adjustment via a built-in potentiometer. The HLG-240H-20AB includes that same adjustment plus a 1-10V/PWM dimming input for external brightness control. Choose the -20AB if you need both adjustment and dimming capability.
