Overview
HLG-150H-12A is the 12V output model of this series: rated current 12.5A, rated power 150W, typical efficiency 91.5%. Type A: Io and Vo adjustable through built-in potentiometer (IP65).
HLG-150H series is a 150W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-150H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 94%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-150H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. Please refer to "DRIVING METHODS OF LED MODULE".
- 5. De-rating may be needed under low input voltages. Please refer to “STATIC CHARACTERISTIC” sections for details.
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the driver may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 7. The driver is considered as a component that will be operated in combination with final equipment. Since EMC performance will be affected by the complete installation, the final equipment manufacturers must re-qualify EMC Directive on the complete installation again. - 8. To fulfill requirements of the latest ErP regulation for lighting fixtures, this LED driver can only be used behind a switch without permanently connected to the mains.
- 9. For OTP which triggered at light load/no load condition, proceed AC repower on to recovery.
- 10. This series meets the typical life expectancy of >62,000 hours of operation when Tcase, particularly tc point (or TMP, per DLC), is about 80℃ or less.

Can I use the HLG-150H-12A for 12V LED strip lighting where I need to fine-tune brightness?
Yes. The HLG-150H-12A delivers 12V at up to 12.5A (150W) and includes a built-in potentiometer for adjusting output voltage and current. This lets you dial in the ideal operating point for your 12V LED strips. Note that it carries an IP65 water-resistant rating, so it should be sheltered from direct submersion.
Is the HLG-150H-12A a good choice for 12V LED channel letter signage?
It works well for channel letter signs that use 12V LED modules. The adjustable output lets you match voltage and current precisely to the modules, and 150W is sufficient for small to medium sign installations. IP65 protection is adequate when the driver is housed inside a weatherproof sign cabinet.
Can I power 12V LED landscape path lights with the HLG-150H-12A?

However, since the HLG-150H-12A is rated IP65 rather than IP67, mount it in a sheltered junction box rather than directly in the ground.
How many meters of 12V LED strip can the HLG-150H-12A support?
The HLG-150H-12A provides up to 150W at 12V. Divide 150W by your strip's wattage per meter to find maximum length. For example, a strip rated at 10W/m could run up to 15 meters (150W / 10W per meter = 15m). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and stay within the 150W limit.
Is the HLG-150H-12A weatherproof enough for a covered patio installation?
Yes. The IP65 rating protects against dust and low-pressure water jets, which is sufficient for sheltered outdoor locations like covered patios, carports, or awnings. For fully exposed installations where standing water or submersion is possible, consider the IP67-rated HLG-150H-12 or HLG-150H-12B instead.
What does the 'A' suffix mean on the HLG-150H-12A compared to the base model?
The 'A' suffix indicates a built-in potentiometer for adjusting output voltage and current. The base HLG-150H-12 has fixed output. The -12A variant also carries an IP65 water-resistant rating instead of the base model's IP67 waterproof rating. Both deliver the same 150W, 12V, 12.5A at their default settings.
