Can the ELG-100-42D2 be controlled by a DALI or 0–10V building automation system?
The ELG-100-42D2 uses the D2 dimming interface, which supports both 3-in-1 dimming (0–10V / PWM / resistance) and push-dimming. It is compatible with 0–10V building automation inputs but does not use the DALI protocol—for DALI control select the ELG-100-42DA instead.
Is the ELG-100-42D2 rated for outdoor or wet-area LED installations?
Yes. The ELG-100-42D2 carries an IP67 waterproof rating, providing full dust protection and resistance to water immersion up to 1 metre. It is suitable for outdoor LED applications including signage, landscape lighting, and building facade fixtures exposed to rain.
How much 42V LED strip can I run from the ELG-100-42D2?
The ELG-100-42D2 delivers 100W at 42V DC with an output current of 2.28A. For 42V strip rated at 10W per meter, that supports roughly 10 meters at full load. Check your strip’s rated power per meter and apply a derating margin when sizing the run.
Can the ELG-100-42D2 power dimmable LED modules in a stage or entertainment lighting rig?
Yes. The D2 interface’s PWM and 0–10V dimming inputs are compatible with the analogue dimming channels used in entertainment and stage lighting consoles. The 100W / 42V output supports medium-power 42V LED fixtures in this type of application.
Does the ELG-100-42D2 support push-dimming for simple on/off and dimming control without a dedicated signal wire?
Yes. In addition to analogue signal dimming, the D2 version supports push-dimming via the mains switch, allowing brightness adjustment and on/off control directly from the circuit breaker or wall switch without a separate dimming control signal.
Will the ELG-100-42D2 operate on a 277V commercial mains circuit?
Yes. The driver accepts 100–305VAC, covering standard 120V, 230V, and 277V commercial supply voltages without any jumper or tap changes.
