HLG-600H-12B is the 12V output model of this series: rated current 40A, rated power 480W, typical efficiency 92%.

HLG-600H series is a 600W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. HLG-600H operates from 90～305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 54V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 96%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +90℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HLG-600H is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

Test conditions and notes13

1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated current and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf & 47uf parallel capacitor.
3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.

Can I use the HLG-600H-12B for a large outdoor 12V LED strip lighting project?

Yes. The HLG-600H-12B provides 480W at 12V and carries an IP67 waterproof rating, so it can be mounted outdoors even in direct rain or wet locations. With 40A of output current, it can drive long runs of 12V LED strips for building facades, landscape lighting, or parking structure illumination.

Is the HLG-600H-12B suitable for powering 12V LED modules in an outdoor sign?

Yes. At 480W and 12V output, it can power a large array of 12V LED sign modules. The IP67 waterproof rating means the driver can be installed inside an outdoor sign cabinet or mounted externally without additional weatherproofing, and the 90-305VAC input handles global mains voltages.

Can I control the brightness of my 12V LEDs with the HLG-600H-12B?

Yes. The B suffix means this model accepts an external 0-10VDC, 10V PWM or resistance dimming signal. You can pair it with a compatible wall dimmer, automation controller, or building management system to adjust LED brightness. Note that unlike the -12AB variant, this model does not include a built-in potentiometer for manual voltage/current trimming.

How many meters of 12V LED strip can the HLG-600H-12B drive?

That depends on the strip's rated power per meter. The HLG-600H-12B delivers up to 480W at 12V. For example, a strip rated at 10W/m could be run up to 48 meters (480W / 10W per meter = 48m). Always check your strip's rated power per meter and keep the total load at or below 480W.

Can the HLG-600H-12B handle freezing winter temperatures and summer heat?

Yes. Its case temperature (Tcase) range is -40°C to +90°C, and at rated current in constant-current mode the maximum ambient temperature is 55°C, with derating above that. Combined with the IP67 waterproof rating and metal housing, this driver is built for year-round outdoor service.
