Test conditions and notes3
- 1. All parameters are specified at normal input(12VDC,24VDC), rated load, 25℃ 70% RH ambient.
- 2. (Blank) type and W type output voltage must step up by 3 Volts from input DC voltage; (Blank)DA type and WDA type output voltage must step up by 12 Volts from input DC voltage.
- 3. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1uf parallel capacitor.

Can I use the LDH-45B-500W for a 500mA LED downlight string?
Yes, this driver is built for constant current LED loads at 500mA, which is the typical requirement for many LED downlight assemblies. It operates across a 21-86V constant current output range with up to 43W, so it is suited to downlight strings whose total forward voltage falls inside that range. It is not a constant voltage driver.
Is the LDH-45B-500W suitable for signage LED modules?
It can be suitable for signage modules when the modules are designed to run from a 500mA constant current source rather than a constant voltage supply. The driver provides 500mA constant current over 21-86V and up to 43W, which fits higher-voltage constant current module strings. It should not be used in place of a constant voltage LED power supply for signage products that expect fixed-voltage input.
Can this driver run a small LED array in a sealed outdoor enclosure?
It can, provided the sealed enclosure protects it, since the datasheet gives no IP or waterproof rating and humidity is rated 20-90% RH non-condensing. Its operating temperature range is -40°C to +70°C (refer to the derating curve), which helps in demanding ambient conditions. The LED array still needs to be a 500mA constant current load within the 21-86V range.
How do I know if my LEDs are compatible with the LDH-45B-500W?
Compatibility is based on current and total forward voltage, not a fixed LED quantity. This model supplies 500mA constant current with a 21-86V output range, and the number of LEDs depends on each LED's forward voltage. If your load expects constant voltage instead of constant current, this is not the right type of driver.
