Test conditions and notes9
- 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input, rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
- 2. Ripple & noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12" twisted pair-wire terminated with a 0.1μF & 47μF parallel capacitor.
- 3. Tolerance : includes set up tolerance, line regulation and load regulation.
- 4. The power supply is considered a component which will be installed into a final equipment. All the EMC tests are been executed by mounting the unit on a 360mm*360mm metal plate with 1mm of thickness. The final equipment must be re-confirmed that it still meets EMC directives. For guidance on how to perform these EMC tests, please refer to "EMI testing of component power supplies." (as available on https://www.meanwell.com//Upload/PDF/EMI_statement_en.pdf )
- 5. Derating may be needed under low input voltages. Please check the derating curve for more details.
- 6. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.
- 7. No load power consumption<0.8W when RC+ & RC- (CN100 pin3,4) 0 ~ 0.8V or short.
- 8. When the input voltage is less than 40VAC, the SPS may exhibit degradation of performance. The final product manufacturers must re-confirm this deviation that does not affect basic safety or essential performance.
- 9. The ambient temperature derating of 3.5℃/1000m with fanless models and of 5℃/1000m with fan models for operating altitude higher than 2000m(6500ft).

FAQ
Can I use the MSP-600-24 for a 24V industrial automation cabinet?
Yes, this is a constant-voltage 24V power supply rated for up to 648W and 27A. It is suitable for 24V industrial automation or control cabinets when the combined 24V load stays within those limits.
Is the MSP-600-24 suitable for 24V PLC and industrial control loads?
It can be used for 24V PLC-related and general industrial control loads that need a regulated 24V bus. The main sizing check is whether total current remains at or below 27A and total power remains at or below 648W.
Can this model be used for 24V embedded systems or machine electronics?
Yes, if the electronics are designed for constant 24V input. With a 27A output rating, it can support larger 24V embedded or machine-electronics assemblies than lower-wattage 24V supplies.
How much 24V load can the MSP-600-24 support?
The rated output is 648W at 24V, with a maximum output current of 27A. That means it should be selected only for 24V systems whose total demand stays within both 27A and 648W.
Can the MSP-600-24 be used in hot, cold, or outdoor locations?
The published operating range is -40°C to +70°C, with output derating required at higher temperatures (see the derating curve). However, no IP rating is shown in the specs, so the product data does not identify it as an outdoor-rated or weather-resistant supply.
How does the MSP-600-24 compare with other 24V MSP models?
This sheet covers only the MSP-600 series, in which the MSP-600-24 is the 24V model at 648W and 27A; ratings of 24V models in other MSP wattage classes are not given here. For more 24V capacity, up to 4 MSP-600-24 units can run in parallel with active current sharing, at rated current x units x 0.9.
