HVGC-65-1050B is the model of this series: rated current 1050mA, rated power 65.1W, typical efficiency 90%.
HVGC-65 series is a 65W LED AC/DC LED power supply featuring the constant current mode and high voltage output. HVGC-65 operates from 180~528VAC and offers models with different rated current ranging between 350mA and 1050mA. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HVGC-65 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

- 4. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.

Can the HVGC-65-1050B run a constant current LED downlight outdoors?
Yes, if the downlight needs 1050mA constant current and the total LED forward voltage is within the 6-62V CC range. The HVGC-65 series is IP65 or IP67 approved and, with a waterproof connector on the output cable, can operate in wet, damp or outdoor locations. It is still a constant current driver, not a 12V or 24V constant voltage supply.
Is this a good fit for exterior signage LED modules?
It can be used for exterior signage assemblies when the modules are constant current at 1050mA and the total forward voltage falls between 6V and 62V. Many signage modules are constant voltage, so those are not compatible. The series' IP65/IP67 approval suits installations where weather resistance is required.
Can I use this driver for a small 1050mA LED array in a damp or washdown area?
Yes, provided the LED array is a constant current load at 1050mA and its total forward voltage stays within 6-62V. The HVGC-65 series is IP65 or IP67 approved; check that the unit's rating matches the level of water exposure on site. Its output is limited to 65.1W, so the array must stay within that electrical envelope.
What should I check before pairing the HVGC-65-1050B with LEDs?
Check that the LEDs require 1050mA constant current and that the full series load operates within the 6-62V constant current range. The number of LEDs depends on each LED's forward voltage, so there is no fixed LED count. This driver is not intended for constant voltage LED strips or modules.
What is the main reason to choose the HVGC-65-1050B over the HVGC-65-1050AB?
The spec sheet lists the HVGC-65 series as IP65 or IP67 approved; the difference it documents is that the AB version adds a built-in potentiometer to adjust output current from 630 to 1050mA. Both offer 3-in-1 dimming (0-10VDC, 10V PWM or resistance), and both are 65.1W, 1050mA constant current drivers with a 6-62V CC range and 180-528VAC input. Choose the B version when potentiometer adjustment is not needed.
