HVGC-65-500B is the model of this series: rated current 500mA, rated power 65W, typical efficiency 90.5%.
HVGC-65 series is a 65W LED AC/DC LED power supply featuring the constant current mode and high voltage output. HVGC-65 operates from 180~528VAC and offers models with different rated current ranging between 350mA and 1050mA. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90.5%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +80℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67/IP65 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. HVGC-65 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system.

- 4. Length of set up time is measured at first cold start. Turning ON/OFF the power supply may lead to increase of the set up time.

Can I use the HVGC-65-500B for outdoor LED downlights that need 500mA constant current?
Yes, if the downlight array is designed for 500mA constant current and its total forward voltage stays within 13-130V. The driver is rated at 65W and uses constant current operation, so it is not a substitute for a constant voltage LED power supply. The HVGC-65 series is IP65 or IP67 approved and can operate outdoors with a waterproof connector on the output cable.
Is the HVGC-65-500B suitable for weather-exposed signage modules?
It can be suitable for signage modules that require 500mA constant current rather than constant voltage. The total LED forward voltage must stay within the 13-130V CC range, and the exact number of LEDs depends on each LED's forward voltage. The series' IP65/IP67 approval suits weather-exposed installations.
Can this driver run small LED arrays in wet or washdown-prone areas?
It is designed for constant current LED arrays at 500mA and supports a 13-130V operating window on the output side. The series is IP65 or IP67 approved and specified for a case temperature (Tcase) of -40°C to +80°C, so it is aimed at tougher environments than basic indoor drivers; check the unit's rating against the water exposure on site. The LED load still needs to fit within the 65W rating.
How do I check compatibility with my LEDs before choosing the HVGC-65-500B?
Your LEDs need to be specified for 500mA constant current, and their total forward voltage must fall within 13-130V. The number of LEDs cannot be stated as a fixed count because it changes with each LED's forward voltage. If the product needs constant voltage output, this is the wrong driver type.
What IP rating does the HVGC-65-500B have compared with the other versions?
The spec sheet lists the HVGC-65 series as IP65 or IP67 approved and does not tie a rating to individual versions, so confirm the rating marked on the unit for your project. A waterproof connector can be fitted to the output cable for wet, damp or outdoor use. All versions share the same -40°C to +80°C case temperature (Tcase) range.
How does the HVGC-65-500B compare with other 65W HVGC outputs?
