ELG-75 series is a 75W AC/DC LED driver featuring the dual mode constant voltage and constant current output. ELG-75 operates from 100~305VAC and offers models with different rated voltage ranging between 12V and 48V. Thanks to the high efficiency up to 90%, with the fanless design, the entire series is able to operate for -40℃ ~ +85℃ case temperature under free air convection. The design of metal housing and IP67 ingress protection level allows this series to fit both indoor and outdoor applications. ELG-75 is equipped with various function options, such as dimming methodologies, so as to provide the optimal design flexibility for LED lighting system

Can I use the ELG-75-36 to power 36V LED strips or modules?

Yes. The ELG-75-36 is designed for 36V LED loads and delivers up to 75.6W at 2.1A on 200–305VAC input (60W on 100–180VAC). It is well suited for 36V LED strip or module systems, including longer runs that benefit from the lower current at higher voltage compared to 12V or 24V alternatives.

Is the ELG-75-36 waterproof enough for outdoor sign or facade lighting?

Yes. The ELG-75 series is rated IP65 or IP67, making it appropriate for outdoor signs, architectural lighting, and facade installations; follow MEAN WELL's IP installation cautions in the user manual. Its case-temperature rating of -40°C to +85°C supports reliable outdoor operation.

How many meters of 36V LED strip can the ELG-75-36 support?

The ELG-75-36 provides 75.6W at 36V on 200–305VAC input (60W on 100–180VAC). If your strip is rated at 10W/m, that allows approximately 7.5 meters; at 14.4W/m (dense COB or high-output strip), the limit is about 5.2 meters. Verify your strip's watt-per-meter spec and keep total load within the rated power.

Can the ELG-75-36 be used for 36V LED modules in channel letter or backlit signage?

Yes. Channel letter and backlit sign modules rated at 36V are a common application. The series' IP65/IP67 rating also makes the driver suitable for externally mounted sign enclosures where moisture could be present.

Does the ELG-75-36 work on both 120V and 240V mains?

Yes. The 100–305VAC universal input covers both 120V and 240V circuits, as well as 277V US commercial circuits, without any manual switching or rewiring. Rated power is 60W on 100–180VAC and 75.6W on 200–305VAC.

Is the ELG-75-36 a good fit for indoor horticultural LED lighting at 36V?

Yes. Some COB and LED grow-light modules use 36V, and the ELG-75-36 can supply up to 75.6W (60W on 100–180VAC) to such loads. Its IP65/IP67-rated case and 20–95% RH (non-condensing) working humidity rating suit humid indoor growing environments.

How does the ELG-75-36 differ from the ELG-75-36A and ELG-75-36AB?

All three models share 75.6W, 36V, and 2.1A output, but differ in control: the base ELG-75-36 has fixed output with no adjustment; the ELG-75-36A adds a built-in potentiometer for output voltage (32.4–39.6V) and current (1.05–2.1A); and the ELG-75-36AB adds both the potentiometer and 3-in-1 dimming (0–10V, 10V PWM, resistance). The datasheet notes that A/AB types need to be built in to comply with Type HL application. Choose the base model when no adjustment or dimming is required.
